Facial Acupuncture

Facial Acupuncture

Facial Acupuncture is a non-surgical method of reducing the signs of the aging process. It has long been used in China dating back to the Sun Dynasty, over 800 years ago. It is a revitalisation process designed to help the whole body look and feel younger. The treatment is based on acupuncture philosophy and involves the insertion of ultra fine needles into particular meridians and pathways of the face and body.

As well as focusing on particular areas of the face, the treatments will improve overall appearance and well-being. Facial Revitisation Acupuncture specifically affects the face while simultaneously treating any underlying factors that contribute to the aging process.

The meridians or pathways of Qi (energy) flow throughout the entire body from the soles of the feet up to the face and head; consequently facial acupuncture treatment addresses the entire body constitutionally, and is not merely cosmetic. It is thought to work by improving overall metabolism, increasing elastin and collagen production/distribution and increasing local circulation of blood and lymph to the face.

A course of the treatment usually constitutes a minimum of seven treatments where lasting results can be attained.
