A modern western medical herbalist is trained over 3 or 4 years studying:anatomy and physiology, diet and nutrition, pharmacology, pathology and clinical medicine, as well as plant therapeutics, with over 500 hours of supervised clinical training, qualifying with a BSc degree in phytotherapy.
